Charlotte Flair joins Freddy Rodriguez to lead the cast for indie horror feature 'You Lose You Die'
Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

14-time WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair has landed a lead role in the Averted Vision Pictures indie horror feature, You Lose You Die, as reported by Deadline. She’d join famed Six Feet Under actor Freddy Rodriguez. Written by Carlos “Spiff TV” Suarez, the movie’s pre-production is already underway. Rodriguez has also been named as an executive director alongside Josue “Sway” Mendez and Ulysses Terrero.

It’s worth mentioning that Charlotte Flair has already made her film debut, which dates back to 2017, when she was cast as Heather Rockrear in Psych: The Movie. Nonetheless, it’s exciting times for The Queen once again. Flair’s impending foray into Hollywood was long overdue. Knowing that she’ll soon enter her 40s, the North Carolina native is one such ambitious woman who’ll have more of these roles coming her way in the future.

The 38-year-old WWE Superstar is currently sidelined with an injury she suffered last year. Back in December, The Nature Girl was involved in singles action with Asuka on SmackDown. An abrupt landing off the top rope saw Charlotte tear her ACL, MCL, and meniscus. Furthermore, she possibly strained her neck as well. It was then reported that the female wrestler would be out of in-ring action for around nine months.

But for someone as resilient as Flair, it’s even more entangling to sit idle. Much to the awe of her fans, the Alpha Female of WWE was back in the gym months ago. Since then, she’s been constantly documenting her recovery. Every other day, there’s a clip of her sweating out in pursuit of getting back to where she belongs—inside the squared circle.

CM Punk recently called Charlotte Flair his “spirit animal”

Not only Charlotte Flair, but also CM Punk has woes of his own. Back in January, at the Royal Rumble, he ended up tearing his triceps. And even though Punk’s been keen on hitting the ring as soon as he can, one has to respect Mother Nature too.

But rehab isn’t always bad if one has a companion. A while ago, The Best in the World termed Charlotte his spirit animal. Underscoring the amount of work she’s been putting in for the last few months, Punk is treading along the same path.

Even though it would take Flair a fairly long time to come back, The Second City Saint is seemingly close to being shown the green light to compete once again. He has made some sporadic appearances on Raw in the past few weeks.
