Manchester City’s impending signing of Claudio Echeverri is another example of how well-run the champions are as a club. The treble winner’s imminent capture of one of the premier young talents also shows the value of the club’s relationships with other clubs around the globe.

In an interview published on ESPN Deportes River Plate sporting director Enzo Francescoli went into detail about the Echeverri deal. He said that while the world champions won’t pay the full release clause in the youngster’s contract River Plate is beyond happy with the deal.
