Could Rams Target Commanders Free Agent Safety Kamren Curl?
Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

The NFL season has officially ended, so now it is time to start looking towards free agency and what each team needs.

For the Los Angeles Rams , one of the main things that the team needs is help in the secondary. In fact, one of the more intriguing players on the back end is Washington Commanders' strong safety Kamren Curl.

So with that in mind, could Curl be a Rams target this offseason? It's certainly a possibility.

The Rams are set to have over $28 million in cap space heading into this offseason, with the flexibility to create even more should they so choose.

Currently, Curl is projected to make at least $15 million per season on the free agent market, which could theoretically throw a wrench in the idea of Curl to L.A.

That said, it could be worth the hefty investment.

Curl is turning into one of the best young players in the NFL at just 24 years old and is only going to improve over the next several seasons. And if he does improve, then he could quickly become one of the best safeties in the league.

The young safety finished with 115 total tackles this past season, a fantastic number for safety, and he also showed solid ball hawk skills, meaning that you can play him basically anywhere on the field and he can excel.

If the Rams were to sign someone in free agency to help their secondary, Curl could be an intriguing fit, as he would be yet another young rising star to add to their already impressive future.
