It seems Kalen DeBoer is settling into the role of the new head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide.
After Nick Saban's surprise retirement earlier this month, the roster was bleeding talent – and not just the typical departures for the NFL draft. But despite those losses, DeBoer is now on a recruiting hot streak. Not only did he and his staff secure the re-commitment of five-star wide receiver Ryan Williams, but they also have been grabbing a few players who were either committed to or on the roster of DeBoer's former school, the Washington Huskies.
On Thursday, DeBoer and company did it again. On3 recruiting expert Hayes Fawcett reported four-star edge rusher Noah Carter has spurned his Washington commitment and is instead coming to Tuscaloosa.

247Sports' Blair Angulo described Carter as "a high-upside prospect with potential to immediately impact at the elite Power Five level." That will likely come in handy with the departure of star pass rusher Dallas Turner for the NFL draft.
Similarly, with the talented Williams stepping in after star receiver Isaiah Bond left for Texas and center Parker Brailsford leaving Washington to replace Seth McLaughlin, who is headed to Ohio State, some of the holes in the roster are getting filled.
Furthermore, with Jim Harbaugh's departure for the Los Angeles Chargers, the Michigan Wolverines' roster could now be up for grabs. With this momentum, don't be surprised if Alabama is in the running for more talented players looking for new homes.
